Recently, whilst browsing the great architectural web, I stumbled across this - the Glass Radiator!

Whilst many people these days are arguing that underfloor heating systems are the way forwards, they do still have their downsides. This, on the other hand, is a much more stylish alternative to the unsightly radiators we commonly see today, and theoretically much more energy efficient. Being electric, it can also make use of home energy generation systems, such as photovoltaic roof panels.

Although rather more costly than the traditional radiator, these glass panels make a bold statement, come in a variety of colours and patterns, and make an excellent conversation piece. The technology can even be implemented into the windows of your house!

For more information you can visit the manufacturer's website at www.glassradiators.co.uk
